About The Event
The Land Use & Housing Committee carries out its City Charter-mandated responsibilities by participating in the New York City Uniform Land Use Review Process (ULURP). In addition, the committee evaluates as-of-right projects, offering feedback to maximize community benefits where possible. Regarding historic preservation, the committee is dedicated to identifying and protecting historic resources within the district. This includes soliciting historic resource candidates from the community, supporting historic designation applications, investigating potential violations by developers and property owners, and advocating for the enforcement of preservation policies by relevant agencies.
